On March 23 , Academician Peng Xiaojun was invited to give a lecture entitled Intelligent Chemical Product Engineering in the conference room of the Chemical Engineering Hall of our school , the teachers and students of the related subjects attended the report meeting .

In the report , Academician Peng gave a detailed introduction of the meaning of intelligent product engineering , examples of intelligent dye products , and the difficult problem of intelligent chemical products . He proposed a new concept of intelligent chemical product engineering , and innovated new functional products through structural design . Academician Peng focused on the application of intelligent dyes in textiles , energy , and medicine. After the report meeting , Academician Peng had a lively academic discussion with the teachers and students on the experimental methods and difficulties , and patiently answered the questions raised by everyone .

Academician Peng is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences , a professor of Dalian University of Technology , a winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars , the director of the State Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals , the director of the High-end Chemicals Committee of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation , and the director of the Daily Chemistry Committee of the China Chemical Industry Society . He is mainly engaged in intelligent molecular engineering , including research on functional dyes , fluorescent probes , photosensitizers , and photoresists . He has published more than 350 papers , authorized more than 50 domestic and foreign invention patents , and participated in the drafting of more than 20 national standards and 5 ISO international standards . As the first accomplisher , he won the 2013 National Natural Science Second Prize and 2006 National Technical Invention Second Prize , as well as 4 provincial and ministerial first prizes or special prizes . He has been selected as a " Highly Cited Scientist " worldwide for many years .
