On the afternoon of July 5, Professor Zhang Lifeng of the University of Yan Mountains was invited to give a lecture entitled "non-metallic inclusions in steel and high quality steel" in the conference room of the third floor of the Chemical Engineering Hall of our university, the teachers and students of the related subjects of our school attended the report meeting。
In the report, Professor Zhang Lifeng first introduced the development of China's railway construction, especially the construction of high-speed railways and heavy-haul railways in recent years. high-speed railways and heavy-haul railways have greatly promoted the flow of population and the transportation of goods in China, however, the safety and service life of rail for high-speed and heavy-haul railways are still insufficient. Non-metallic inclusions are the non-metallic materials such as oxides, silicates and nitrides in the steel products produced by the BF carbon reduction ironmaking process. Professor Zhang Lifeng and his team have done a lot of work around this problem, and put forward a solution idea to control the accurate, clean, homogenized and fine-grained composition in the process of steel-making, and obtained high-quality rail, the unqualified rate of rail inspection is reduced from 0.3 to less than 0.1. Professor Zhang Lifeng also introduced the technology of low-intensity electromagnetic stirring (ems) and co-homogenization at the end of soft reduction, temperature control and slow cooling hydrogen removal for heavy-duty rail continuous casting, and performance improvement of rail treated with rare earth elements.
