    Du Jianping graduated from Taiyuan university of technology and got a bachelor's degree in engineering in 1995, graduated from the Taiyuan university of technology and obtained a master's degree in physical chemistry in 2005, and graduated from the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Sciences with a doctor's degree in physical chemistry in 2008. After then, he had been working as post doctoral researcher for two years. In 2015, he worked as visiting scholar in the United States. He is a member of the standing committee of environmental materials expert committee.

    Carbon, Carbon-based Carbides, Metal Oxide Nanomaterials and 2D materials used for energy and environment application such as hydrogen evolution, photocatalysis and sensors.
