    Fan Caimei, born in 1961, female, doctor of engineering, professor and doctoral supervisor of College of Chemistry and Chemical engineering, Taiyuan University of Technology. In 1983, 1993 and 1996, she received her Bachelor’s, master’s and Doctor’s degrees in Taiyuan University of Technology, Sichuan University and Sichuan University, respectively. Professor Fan has been engaged in the field of photocatalysis and photoelectrocatalysis, and has a deep understanding for the catalyst construction and organic degradation as well as the key issues of photocatalytic hydrogen production, nitrogen fixation and CO2 reduction. The followings are the projects she hosted and participated in: 7 National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 British Council cooperation project, 1 the Hong Kong Government approved project, 5 provincial and ministerial projects, 6 enterprise projects. In 1998, as a visiting scholar she conducted cooperative research on TiO2 photoelectro catalytic water treatment at University of Strathclyde in the UK. In 2000, as a visiting scholar she conducted cooperative research on TiO2 photocatalytic water treatment with Professor Xiangzhong Li in Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Professor Fan has maintained good cooperative relations with Prof. Xiangzhong Li (Hong Kong Polytechnic University) and Prof. Hui Zhang (University of Western Ontario in Canada). Professor Fan published more than 80 high-level SCI papers in major international journals, and obtained more than 50 national invention patents, and she published 2 monographs “Principles of Chemical Engineering” and “Production Technology of freezing nitrate phosphate fertilizer”.
